Clinical Nutrition
Besides being a family practice doctor, Dr. Epperly is certified by the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board in nutrition. The discipline of Clinical Nutrition applies principles derived from current biochemical and physiological scientific knowledge for the purpose of correcting health problems and promoting optimal health via food and nutritional supplementation.
In the dual role of Medical Doctor and Clinical Nutritionist, Dr. Epperly will typically take a detailed history of the patient's medical background including current complaints and present lifestyle. He will examine the patient's lab reports from traditional medicine and any other medical reports. He may suggest some in-depth complementary laboratory work that might reveal heavy metal toxicity, mineral deficiencies, abnormal intestinal permeability, poor digestion, decreased liver function, Candida overload, adrenal insufficiency, fatty acid imbalances, inadequate antioxidant levels or other problems. This integrative approach allows Dr. Epperly to suggest clinical nutritional supplementation in the right dosage, that will address an individual patient's needs.
We have clinical nutritional supplements available at our office location or we personally order them for patients. Our sources have excellent reputations and have the Highest Quality Standards of purity and potency. All our supplements are hypoallergenic and have high bioavailability.
Dr. Epperly treats such complex conditions as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, obesity, migraines, high cholesterol, PMS, arthritis, migraines, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, yeast overgrowth syndrome, menopause, and others.
Professional Grade Nutrition Supplements
A recent study was done examining the purity of nutrition supplements sold at stores. It was found that a very large percentage of the supplements that people buy do not contain the amounts of the nutrients stated on the label. In fact, some of them contained very little. This happens because this industry is not regulated by anyone. Therefore, buying supplements at the store without expert guidance can be risky. You may end up just wasting your money, or worse, harming yourself with impurities.
At Family Doctors, we maintain a large supply of nutriceuticals from the top companies in the nutrition industry. These companies have proven themselves worthy by their commitments to research, education, support, and quality control. They have the finest reputations amongst the country's top integrative medicine doctors. The majority of brands of supplements sold in our office are not available in stores, but are only obtainable from health professionals.
Patients are welcome to look for and purchase equivalent supplements anywhere they'd like and are not required to buy from our office. For the convenience of our patients, our supplements are available in the office to patients without the hassle and inconvenience of having to take the time to go out and find the right products at the store.
